Health
& Safety
Our Health
& Safety aspect of the business has been established since
the company was founded in 1990. This has seen many changes
over the years with tighter regulations, standards and working
practices needing to be met.
We regard
the health, safety and welfare of the company's employees,
subcontractors and those who may be affected by D&E's
activities as being of prime importance.
This commitment relies on the active participation of all
company employees and subcontractors in order to achieve and
maintain the high standards we set out.
The Directors
recognise the need to consult the workforce on H&S matters
in order to achieve, monitor and improve standards and actively
encourage employee participation on H&S matters which
serve to improve and promote these aims.

Whilst
overall responsibility for H&S must rest with the company,
our employees and subcontractors recognise that they too have
duties under the H&S at work act. These duties include
taking reasonable care of their own safety and the safety
of others who may be affected by their acts or omissions.
Also to co-operate with the company and/or its customers in
their arrangements to comply with statutory H&S obligations.
We provide
Risk Assessments and Method Statements covering all installation
and servicing works on site when requested by the client or
main contractor. The information within these documents varies
depending on the work content and site conditions.
We
are an approved contractor with Exor Management Services.
They implement a rigorous programme of conformity that verifies
suppliers and contractors meet compliance issues including
health and safety, finance, insurance, quality, certification
and licensing obligations.
